IISC MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL PREPARATORY COMMITTE OF THE 19TH WORLD FESTIVAL OF YOUTH AND STUDENTS IN SOCHI

As a result of the Memorandum and Letter of Intent signed on 28th April 2017, the International Institute of the Civil Society became a part of the National Preparatory Committee – the body which will choose and prepare Poland’s delegation for the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students organized from 14th to 22nd October 2017 in Sochi (Russia). The Committee will be responsible for coordinating all organizational and technical activities regarding Poland’s participation in the Festival.

Russia has already hosted the Festival twice before, in 1957 (for the 6^th edition) and again in 1985 (12^th edition).

The aim of the Festival is to unite young people from all cross the globe in pursuing the ideals such as justice, international cooperation and inter-cultural dialogue.

The organizers of the event are hoping that approx. 20 000 people will attend from 150 different countries. Also, about 7000 volunteers will support the event. The official languages of the event are the 6 official languages of the UN.
