2. POLISH-AMERICAN SEMINAR

The International Institute of the Civil Society organized on 7th March 2013 second Polish – American seminar as a part of Discover America under the name „Behind the Scenes of U.S. Diplomacy” for representatives of youth political organizations. The Ambassador of the United States of America Stephen D. Mull was the guest of the meeting.

The representatives of all youth organizations from parties in the Polish Parliament participated in the seminar (except for Youth Forum of Prawo i Sprawiedliwość which didn’t take part in the project).

The meeting was a great opportunity to debate on foreign policy of the US, Polish-American cooperation and priorities of the Embassy of the United States of America. Ambassador Mull also talked about his diplomatic carrier which had started in 1982 and also about the experience connected with work at the US Embassy in Poland in the 80’s and 90’s.

During the second part of the seminar the participants debated on i.a. Polish-American relations, anti-missile shield, visas, programs executed by the Embassy of the US and the differences between American and European diplomacy.

IICS is planning next meetings as a part of Discover America in the cooperation with the Embassy of the US in Poland.
