Mateusz Komorowski

Mateusz Komorowski is a lawyer and political scientist, a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science at the university’s College of Inter-Faculty Individual Studies in the Humanities. He is currently a PhD candidate and works in a renowned law firm in Warsaw.

Mateusz Komorowski

Mateusz Komorowski is a lawyer and political scientist, a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science at the university’s College of Inter-Faculty Individual Studies in the Humanities. He is currently a PhD candidate and works in a renowned law firm in Warsaw.

Mateusz has been active as a representative of young people since he was a teenager. He was an MP of the Parliament for Children and Youth, serving as its speaker; he co-founded the Polish Council of Youth Organizations; and he served as Chairman of the Children and Youth Council at the Ministry of Education. Mateusz has been involved in the organisation of the Youth and Film Festival of Film Debuts in Koszalin. He also served on the board of the Bank Ochrony Środowiska Foundation and the Scientific Council of the Institute for Ecology of Industrial Areas in Katowice.

He has participated in many international programs, internships and study visits, including in the US, Mexico, Japan, Australia, the Netherlands, Germany, Russia, the UK, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Iran, the Gambia and Brussels. Fellowships and scholarships include the U.S. State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program, the PCY Programme of the World Federation of Young Leaders and Entrepreneurs and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s Summer School Berlin. Mateusz participated in the three-year international program Academia in Public Discourse Poland - Russia. He also held an internship in the office of the UK Defence Minister. He has represented Poland on the international stage many times, e.g. at European Youth Summits in Germany, France and Ukraine.

Mateusz has played an active role in numerous national projects, including the President’s Public Service Academy, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s Political Academy, the Club of Gdańsk, the Youth Forum and Ideas of the New Century.

He has achieved numerous academic successes, including awards in competitions for knowledge about the EU, about the fate of Poles in the Soviet Union and about America. Mateusz won an International Honourable Mention in the WYP 2005 Physics Talent Search. He has received honours from the Minister of Science and Higher Education, the Minister of Education and the Mayor of Koszalin, through a fellowship for distinguished scientific and social achievements.

His active work in the field of building Civil Society was recognised with a diploma awarded to him by the Centre for Civic Education in Warsaw. In 2009 he won the Outstanding 2008 title in a Polish Radio competition.

Maciej Pisz

Maciej Pisz is a lawyer and political scientist. He lectures in the Constitutional Law Department of the University of Warsaw’s Faculty of Law and Administration (WPiA), where he is pursuing a doctorate, and is an attorney trainee with the Regional Advocates’ Council in Warsaw. Maciej is a graduate of the University of Warsaw’s Faculty of Law and Administration and the University’s College of Inter-Faculty Individual Studies in the Humanities (with honours). Maciej also graduated from the WPiA’s School of German Law. He works at a well-known law firm in Warsaw.

Maciej Pisz

Maciej Pisz is a lawyer and political scientist. He lectures in the Constitutional Law Department of the University of Warsaw’s Faculty of Law and Administration (WPiA), where he is pursuing a doctorate, and is an attorney trainee with the Regional Advocates’ Council in Warsaw. Maciej is a graduate of the University of Warsaw’s Faculty of Law and Administration and the University’s College of Inter-Faculty Individual Studies in the Humanities (with honours). Maciej also graduated from the WPiA’s School of German Law. He works at a well-known law firm in Warsaw.

Maciej is an active participant in many academic events, which he combines with his social and professional activities. He has won numerous competitions including Your Advice for the EU, a national competition for students, and contests on knowledge about the EU, human rights and the Polish language. Maciej has spoken at numerous Polish and international conferences, including in Ljubljana, Zagreb, Budapest and Kazan.

He is the author of several books and numerous academic articles in the area of legal studies, and serves as a supervisor and participant in several research projects. For many years Maciej has also participated in various academic programs and visits, including in Ukraine, France, the U.S. and Belgium. He also took part in the three-year international program Academia in Public Discourse Poland - Russia.

Maciej has received numerous fellowships and awards for his academic achievements, from institutions including the Ministry of Education, the Rector of Warsaw University, the Dean of the WPiA, the Mayor of Lublin and the Speaker of the Lublin Province Parliament. In 2017 he was honoured with a fellowship from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, for doctoral students with outstanding achievements in the area of legal studies.

Hanna Banaszek

Hanna Banaszek is a lawyer and a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk, where she is now pursuing doctoral studies. She holds a Diploma in English Law and the Law of the European Union (the University of Cambridge). Hanna was one of the lecturers at the Energy Academy of the Warsaw School of Economics.

Hanna Banaszek

Hanna Banaszek is a lawyer and a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk, where she is now pursuing doctoral studies. She holds a Diploma in English Law and the Law of the European Union (the University of Cambridge). Hanna was one of the lecturers at the Energy Academy of the Warsaw School of Economics.

She works at a renowned law firm in Warsaw, and has held positions including advising the management board of a Warsaw Stock Exchange-listed company on strategy and business development.

Hanna seeks to combine her professional, academic and charitable activities with her passion for sports. She is also interested in culture and art, in particular English literature, opera and ballet.

Maciej Gorgol is a lawyer and a graduate (with honours) of the University of Warsaw’s Faculty of Law and Administration (WPiA), and a trainee advocate with the Regional Advocates’ Council in Warsaw. He also studied at the University of Zurich, the WPiA’s school of German Law and the university’s Institute of Journalism. Maciej works at an international law firm in Warsaw.

Maciej Gorgol

Maciej Gorgol is a lawyer and a graduate (with honours) of the University of Warsaw’s Faculty of Law and Administration (WPiA), and a trainee advocate with the Regional Advocates’ Council in Warsaw. He also studied at the University of Zurich, the WPiA’s school of German Law and the university’s Institute of Journalism. Maciej works at an international law firm in Warsaw.

He has represented Poland and served as advisor to the Polish university teams in international legal competitions, in the US, Hong Kong and European countries (Germany, Austria, Portugal). Maciej has participated in EU youth initiatives in Warsaw and Brussels, and won the 2nd place honourable mention advocate award in the 5th Foreign Direct Investment Moot Court Competition (Boston, 2012).

Maciej has received fellowships from the Rector of the University of Warsaw and the Minister of Science and Higher Education. He has been a winner and finalist multiple times in nationwide competitions in the humanities and languages.

His interests focus on diplomacy, contemporary social challenges in the age of globalisation, and philosophy.

Karolina Madej

Karolina is a legal adviser and a graduate of the Jagiellonian University’s Faculty of Law and Administration; she also attended the University’s School of French Law. She performed her legal adviser internship with the Warsaw Regional Chamber of Legal Advisers.

Karolina is a legal adviser and a graduate of the Jagiellonian University’s Faculty of Law and Administration; she also attended the University’s School of French Law. She performed her legal adviser internship with the Warsaw Regional Chamber of Legal Advisers.

Karolina was a member of the European Law Students Association, and works as a legal adviser at a renowned law firm in Warsaw.

She can also be found in museums, galleries and kitchens, as her interests include culture and the arts – including culinary arts.

Aleksandra Papierzańska

Aleksandra Papierzańska is an architect and a graduate of the University of Ecology and Management in Warsaw. She has participated in numerous seminars, workshops and trainings in architecture and urban planning. Aleksandra has held internships in design bureaus.

Aleksandra Papierzańska is an architect and a graduate of the University of Ecology and Management in Warsaw. She has participated in numerous seminars, workshops and trainings in architecture and urban planning. Aleksandra has held internships in design bureaus.

She is a construction coordinator with Poland’s largest property developer, participating in large office and services investments.

For many years, Aleksandra has been engaged in charitable work, including as a co-founder of the Pro Natura Association. She is a member of several NGOs and a volunteer at the Youth and Film Festival of Film Debuts in Koszalin. Her interests include art, architecture, graphic design and photography.
