On 16th February 2012 the Foundation Board of the International Institute of the Civil Society at the invitation of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Poland took part in a meeting in the Independence Museum in Warsaw under the name – Azerbaijan – a road to independence. The Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Poland Hasan Hasanov and the invited lecturers presented the history of gaining independence in the years 1918-1920 and its regaining in 1988-1992. Many issues connected with common elements in the history and in the relations between Poland and Azerbaijan were discussed.
