Fulfilling its mission of preserving the memory of Solidarity and its legacy for the future generations, the European Solidarity Centre believes it is crucial to work with the young. Therefore, the annual youth conference is one of key items on the yearly agenda of the ECS. Through participating in the Youth Forum the young attendees have a chance to personally meet and talk to their role models whose knowledge and opinions inspire us to fully participate in modern civil society as truly aware and open-minded citizens.

Focusing on this year’s main topic of the meeting, the participants discussed the limits of and differences between patriotism, nationalism, cosmopolitism, formation of a civil society, European citizenship and the culture of debate.

Our very own Mateusz Komorowski participated as a panelist – debating on the following topic: “Citizens in Europe without borders”.
