Gamified Civic Workshops in Białystok 27 November 2025
The event agenda featured three components: a communication and public speaking workshop, a networking session, and a simulation-based workshop built around the game World Trade.
The first session focused on strengthening group integration and developing communication skills. As the new term of the Youth Council had recently begun, participants had the opportunity to get to know one another and enhance their self-presentation abilities through interactive exercises and improvised role-play scenarios. The session concluded with a simulated TV studio activity in which participants assumed the roles of journalists, reporters, and audiences. The “news segments” they created explored current socio-political issues, as well as topics related to culture, sport, and hypothetical scenarios set in a realistic context.
The second workshop took the form of the World Trade simulation game, which took place on the same day. Participants were divided into six teams representing countries with different levels of development: Germany, the United States, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Eritrea, and Namibia. The aim of the game was to make production and trade decisions using limited resources, as well as to conduct negotiations in the global market. The workshop served as a starting point for a broader discussion on inequalities in international relations, (post)colonial dynamics, and the principles and scope of cooperation between states.
Participants engaged actively throughout the activities and the final discussion, sharing reflections and insights on the mechanisms shaping global politics and the economy.
