“History at the service of diplomacy” - meeting with Henry Kissinger


On 27th June 2012 the representatives of the International Institute of the Civil Society took part in a meeting and a debate with Henry Kissinger called “History at the service of diplomacy”. The meeting was held under the auspices and at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Poland Bronisław Komorowski at the Presidents’ Palace and it constitutes a part of a cycle of debates of concept groups and the leaders of a new generation “The ideas of the New Age”. Res Publika Nowa was the host of the Wednesday’s debate and the meeting was conducted by its editor-in- chief Wojciech Przybylski.

Henry Kissinger was the Secretary of State in the administration of two American presidents: Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford and also the director of National Security Council and an advisor for national security of the presidents: John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. He is the laureate of the Nobel Peace Price (1973).
