4TH EDITION OF "CLUB OF GDANSK"

From the 8th through to the 10th of September 2016, the Centre for Poland-Russia Dialogue and Partnership and the City of Gdansk hosted the 4th edition of ”The Club of Gdansk” – a meeting of Poland’s and Russia’s young leaders. This year we were represented by our Secretary, Maciej Gorgol.

During the meeting, the participants attended an intensive two-day workshop regarding negotiating techniques and public speaking skills led by Charles Crawford, former Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Poland.

The participants then had the chance to put their skills to the test by speaking on one of the chosen topics including "The Biggest Problems Now Facing Europe" and "Limiting State Power in Internet Age". The annual meeting ended with an Oxford-style debate: "This House Agrees that International Order is Disintegrating.”

The Club of Gdansk is a cyclical event intended for the young and dynamic people from Poland and Russia who actively participate in public life at the national, regional and local levels. The long-term ambition of the initiative is to form a network of small local communities in both countries.
