MISO- Honorary Patron of Poznan Congress of Young Scientists


The International Civil Society Institute has taken honorary patronage over the Poznań Congress of Young Scientists. This year the Congress will be held remotely and the conferences take place on three dates: 11-12 June, 16-17 July, 10-11 September 2021. We would like to invite everyone to the first event: "New Technologies in Public Administration”.

Poznań Congress of Young Scientists (formerly Congress of Scientific Circles) is an annual event held at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. It provides a forum for discussion on the most important, current problems of Polish and world science. Each year the event attracts about 300 active participants and numerous listeners.

As part of the Poznań Congress of Young Scientists three conferences will be organized. The first event "New technologies in public administration" will be held on June 11-12 in an online form.

The purpose of the conference is to create a forum for discussion for people involved in research on public sector informatization, to exchange experiences and to inspire further research directions. Proposed speeches may concern both the implementation of new technologies to improve the activities of public sector entities, as well as related issues, such as acquisition, processing and security of data underlying digital government, algorithmic management and transparency of administration activities, and any other problems of electronification of public services.

Thematic scope:

  • electronification of electronic communication,
  • new institutions in the Electronic Delivery Act,
  • user identification,
  • electronic document management,
  • ​​​​​​​automation of administrative proceedings,
  • use of algorithms in public administration activities,
  • ​​​​​​​algorithmic management (transparency of algorithms, bias of algorithms)
  • idea of smart government,
  • ​​​​​​​cloud computing and Internet of Things in public administration,
  • security of data processed by public sector,
  • ​​​​​​​use of public data by private sector,
  • use of new technologies to maintain public order (Chinese Public Trust System, Pegasus system),
  • ​​​​​​​Transparency of administration in the context of new technologies.

We kindly inform that applications for the Conference are accepted by the organizers until May 26, 2021 through the registration form available at the link.

Next events:

During each of the conferences the leading issue will be considered from the perspective of different scientific disciplines. At each of the conferences, the organizers anticipate the presence of about 50 speakers.
