Civil society: Polish tradition or a modern trend?


On 13th November 2017 at the seat of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Poland another debate was held; this time around the title was: Civil society: Polish tradition or a modern trend? – organized as part of the 4th journalism academy – a joint project of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Poland and TVP’s Akademia Telewizyjna. The speakers for the evening were: dr Renata Mieńkowska-Norkiene (the IICS, INP UW), Katarzyna Batko-Tołuć (Watchdog Polska), Rafał Dymek (the Robert Schuman Polish Foundation) and Alicja Grzybowska (Szlachetna Paczka).

The main topic of this year’s 4th Academy is “Civil society in Poland” and featured the following lectures:

  • the language of Television,
  • the law of the media,
  • the basics of TV-editing,
  • the basics of directing,
  • the art of public speaking,

and the following workshops: 

  • the art of conversation – interview,
  • reporter in front of the camera – stand up,
  • the language of TV – exercise,
  • practice session with a teleprompter.
