Meeting with a delegation of deputies to the Supreme council (Verkhovna Rada) of Ukraine.

On September 30, 2024, a meeting was held at the headquarters of the International Institute of Civil Society with a delegation of deputies to the Supreme council (Verkhovna Rada) of Ukraine.

During the meeting, discussions were held on strengthening cooperation between Poland and Ukraine, particularly in the field of civil society activation. Participants of the meeting discussed key issues related to the functioning of the NGO sector in both countries, analyzing current challenges and opportunities facing Polish and Ukrainian society.

The visit of the Ukrainian members of parliament was an opportunity to discuss and exchange valuable experiences as well as to establish closer relations between Polish and Ukrainian institutions. The meeting confirmed the commitment of both sides to building strong relations based on common values and goals, such as working for the European integration, supporting the development of democracy, developing international contacts and cooperation, and supporting economic development and entrepreneurship.

Participants expressed hope for future projects and initiatives that could benefit both countries engaged in the development of civil society in the region, especially at such a difficult time for Ukraine.

Strengthening international cooperation, developing inter-institutional relations, and building lasting partnerships in the area of civil society are the goals that remain a part of the International Civil Society Institute's activities.
