WE SUPPORT ACTIVE STUDENTS - NMUN 2013 IN THE US

The International Institute of the Civil Society became a patron and facilitated the organization of a trip of students from the University of Warsaw, who were the only Polish students who participated in an international, prestigious simulation of the proceedings of the United Nations Organization – National Model United Nations in New York. Maciej Pisz, a Board member of IICS was one of the participants.

Each delegation represented the drawn country during the conference. University of Warsaw represented Peru. During few days the participants tried to play a role of real diplomats by making resolutions concerning real, world problems. Also the structure of the simulation reflected real proceedings because each representation was divided into two-people teams taking part in committees, commissions and the assemblies of UNO.

The participation in the conference was an exceptionally worthy experience which will reach fruition in the future. It was also a chance to use the knowledge in practice and to meet people from all around the world having similar interests.
