RESULTS OF THE ALL-POLAND ESSAY CONTEST


The International Institute of the Civil Society with the cooperation of the Vice-President of the European Parliament Jacek Protasiewicz and Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Poland have published on 5th November 2012 the results of the all-Poland contest for an essay under the name “The civil society from the youth’s perspective”. Ecolines Polska Sp. z o.o. was the sponsor of the contest.

In order to take part in the contest each contestant had to prepare a written form on one of three of the following topics:

  • „Civil society in Poland: yesterday, today and tomorrow. How is it and how should it be?”
  • „I am an element of a civil society – I have rights and obligations.”
  • „The displays of civil society in Poland and abroad. Which do you perceive as the most important and why??”

There were many papers submitted which is a very satisfactory fact for us.

The results are:

  1. The winner: Mr Wojciech Engelking, the University of Warsaw essay 
     
  2. The first runner - up: Ms Marta Kiedrowska, Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza im. Stanisława Staszica in Cracow/John Paul II University in Cracow essay 
     
  3. The second runner up: Mr Michał Czech, Uniwersytet Śląski In Katowice, essay
  • II age category:
  1. The winner: Ms Dominika Paw, I Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. T. Kościuszki in Busko-Zdrój. essay   
     
  2. The first runner up: Ms Alicja Zell, II Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Marii Skłodowskiej-Curie in Gorzów Wielkopolski essay 
     
  3. The second runner up: Mr Mateusz Głasek, Liceum Ogólnokształcące nr III im. Juliusza Słowackiego in Otwock. essay
