Civil Society Embassy with Chargé d'Affaires of the Israeli Embassy

On February 10, 2022, at the office of the International Institute of Civil Society in Warsaw, there was held a meeting - as part of the project entitled “Civil Society Embassy” - dedicated to Israel, the special guest of which was Ms. Tal Ben-Ari Yaalon, Chargé d'Affaires of the Israeli Embassy in Poland. The meeting was moderated by Marta Kubica, Executive Director of ELNET-Poland.

The second meeting of the “Civil Society Embassy” discussed topics related to civic engagement in Israel. They discussed, among other things, common features and differences of Polish and Israeli civil society, cooperation of NGOs and social movements with the public administration, financing of the third sector, the media, as well as civil society in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Civil Society Embassy” amounts to MISO's periodic meetings with diplomats on a broadly understood topic of civil society in a country represented by a given diplomat, i.e., among others, definition and understanding of civil society, manifestations of civil society, problems and challenges of civil society, laws on civil society, financing of civil society, activities of NGOs and social movements, among others.
