Do You Want to Become a Volunteer? Check out VolunteerSide!

The International Institute of Civil Society has assumed honorary patronage of the nationwide social project VolunteerSide. It is a platform for organizations that are looking for volunteers, so it means that those interested in helping others will get an easier and faster access to various initiatives across Poland. The project is implemented as part of the nationwide "Exempt from theory" Olympiad.

VolunteerSide is one of the largest platforms with various volunteer offers from all over Poland, which has been covered by ten honorary patronages, including the honorary patronage of the International Institute of Civil Society.

The main goal is to help young people find volunteering of the most interest to them. During the pandemic, the access to the volunteer work, on which so many NGOs rely, was hampered. A group of people from Leszno and Wrocław noticed that and came to the rescue by creating a nationwide platform with volunteer offers called “VolunteerSide.”

A lot has changed over the past year, but helping others should remain the same. That is why the team involved in the project wants to demonstrate young people what amazing opportunities await them all over Poland.

Both the idea and the execution are simple - the website offers proposals from large and small cities, and thanks to the appropriate thematic filters, those willing to help will very quickly find the right offer for themselves. The platform was created mainly having in mind high school children, but most of the offers are aimed at everyone, as volunteering knows no boundaries – nor those of age.

The team of people representing the platform also encourages organizations to publish their offers for volunteers. Placing an offer on the website is very easy – you just need to fill out a short application form, and then after verification the offer will be added to the platform.
