MISO AS A SIGNATORY TO THE “WOMEN TO THE POLLS” CAMPAIGN
Poland is one of the first countries in the world to give women the right to vote. Since 1918, shortly after regaining the independence, women have been able to exercise their right to vote and be elected to public office. Poland introduced this legislation before the USA and some European Union countries such as France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece.
The aim of the “Women to the Polls” campaign is to encourage women to actively participate in elections. All those working for and supporting the campaign do so pro bono. The “Women to the Polls” campaign does not advocate any political grouping.
