HOW CAN YOUNG PEOPLE GET INVOLVED IN SOCIETY?

On 11th October 2016 at Collegium Civitas of the University of Opole a debate re. the social engagement of the young was held. The debate was organized jointly by Dom Współpracy Polsko-Niemieckiej and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Poland. Our very own Mateusz Komorowski was a Special Guest of the event.

The discussion was aimed to confront and compare many different theories regarding the real social engagement of young people and the roles the young were to play to actually become members of civil society. We also discussed the meaning of the term “civil society”, the ways of fostering the activity of the young in terms of their social engagement, good practices with regard to social engagement and the challenges ahead and many other matters related to the main topic of the meeting.
