Civic Workshops in a Village Called Wielkie Drogi
During the Workshops we talk about, among other things, how to become an informed citizen, how to exercise our rights and get involved locally, and how to raise money for civic initiatives - social activities. We also provide legal and civic advice, as well as answer all questions posed by participants.
A Civic Workshop consists of three parts:
Together we can do more! A workshop about advantages of cooperation among civic organizations. Each of us has many interesting, valuable ideas - together we have a better chance to put them into practice (Annemarie Vanlangendonck from the MISO Foundation and Agnieszka Prokocka from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation);
Crowdfunding - what does it involve? - Social activism can be supported by social funding. A workshop introducing the topic of collection services, types of crowdfunding, legal conditions, analysis of numerous case studies. (Kamil Musielak from the MISO Analysis Center);
Citizen has a right – It entails the rights, freedoms and duties of citizens, i.e. a workshop on the legal framework for the functioning of civil society in Poland. (Maciej Pisz from the MISO Foundation).
We are particularly keen to reach places where civic activity is somewhat lower. According to research, an average level of involvement in civic organizations is the lowest in towns with a population of 100,000 to 499,000 citizens, and slightly higher in villages.
Until now, stationary workshop have been held twice - in Radom and Wieluń, and online during the pandemic.
